I regard this paper as experimental philosophy in the best sense: let’s try something out and see how it holds up. What have we got to lose? We have become stuck (or bored) so let’s see if we can find a new way to extricate ourselves. We will never break free unless we try something new and radical—or in this case as old as Plato. The good has suffered for too long under the crushing weight of dogmatic ontological parsimony.
